Meet the Long Beach Team Behind Benson ADU Long Beach
You don’t build an ADU with a faceless crew. You build it with people who show up, know their trade, and put their name on the work. Our Long Beach team is small on purpose – four people who handle your project from first measurement to final walkthrough. We’re background-checked, uniformed, and we answer the phone when you call. Most of us have worked together for years, and we’ve spent thousands of hours on Southern California job sites in Belmont Shore, Bixby Knolls, and across the city. Here’s who you’ll actually work with.
Our People
Troy Eastman, Owner & Lead Builder
Troy started building in 2006 and has run Benson ADU Long Beach as owner and lead builder since day one. He’s on site for every project at least once a week, and he’s the one who signs off on the final walkthrough. Troy is certified in prefab panel installation and has built more than a hundred ADUs and room additions in Long Beach alone. He’ll tell you the real number for your project before you ask, and he’ll explain what a setback is in one sentence because he’s not interested in making anyone feel small for asking. When he’s not on a job site, Troy is usually fishing off Belmont Pier or complaining about traffic on the 710.
Miguel R., Senior Installer
Miguel has been with Benson ADU Long Beach for nine years and leads the on-site build crew. He’s our go-to for foundation work and framing, and he holds certifications for Abodu and Cover prefab panel systems along with James Hardie cladding installation. Miguel grew up in Long Beach and can tell you which neighborhoods have the trickiest access for material delivery, which saves you time before we ever break ground. He’s the guy who walks the site at the end of every day and makes sure it’s clean enough that you’d let your kid play out there. Weekends, Miguel coaches his daughter’s soccer team at El Dorado Park.
Danielle S., Service Coordinator
Danielle is the voice on the other end of the line when you call (562) 362-3885. She’s been coordinating projects for Benson ADU Long Beach for six years and handles scheduling, permits paperwork, and the written price quote you receive before any work starts. Danielle keeps a running calendar of every open project and can tell you exactly where we are on your build without having to call you back. She’s background-checked and works from our Long Beach office, where she keeps a photo of every completed project pinned to the wall. Outside work, Danielle is working on her own mid-century fixer in Los Altos and has strong opinions about original oak floors.
Andre W., Apprentice Installer
Andre joined our crew two years ago as an apprentice and has already earned his forklift cert and completed training on Dvele and Mighty Buildings panel systems. He works alongside Miguel on framing, panel setting, and exterior finish work, and Troy checks his cuts personally. Andre grew up in North Long Beach and started in high school shop class, which is harder to come by these days than you’d think. He’s quiet on the roof and loud at lunch, and he keeps the crew’s speaker stocked with a playlist we’ve all stopped voting on. Most weekends, Andre is doing concrete work with his uncle in Compton.

You get a written price before any work starts, with no verbal estimates that shift later. You get the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the work isn’t right within a full year, we make it right, in writing, stamped on every project. Every project carries a written guarantee, and if any covered repair fails, we make a free second visit. You also get a live person on the phone around the clock, every day of the year, and everyone who walks onto your property is background-checked and in uniform.
