The Benson ADU Long Beach Guarantee
We put our name on every ADU, home addition, and room addition we build in Long Beach. That name is Benson, and behind it stands a promise in writing, not a handshake. Every project we take on comes with a written price before any work starts, a written guarantee on the completed work, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise that says if something isn’t right within a full year, we make it right. Troy Eastman, Owner of Benson ADU Long Beach, signs off on that guarantee personally. It’s not buried in fine print. It’s stamped on the project. If a covered repair fails within the year, we come back on a free second visit and fix it. No argument, no invoice, no “that’s normal wear and tear” deflection. That’s the deal.
We also back our builds with licensed and insured crews, background-checked technicians who arrive in uniform, and a live person on the phone every day of the year. The guarantee isn’t just paperwork. It’s a system designed so you always know who’s on your property and who to call if something goes sideways.
What’s Covered
Homeowners in Long Beach ask us this question constantly, and we’d rather answer it in plain English than hide behind warranty legalese. Here’s what our guarantee covers when we build your ADU, home addition, or room addition.
- Workmanship on every phase of construction. If our crew’s work on framing, drywall, finish carpentry, flooring, or any other scope item we performed isn’t done right, we fix it within the 365-day coverage window at no cost to you.
- Prefab panel and component installation. When we build with Abodu, Cover, Dvele, Mighty Buildings, Boxabl, Plant Prefab, or Tuff Shed panels, our installation work is covered under our guarantee. Manufacturer defects on the panels themselves are handled under each brand’s separate warranty, and we help you navigate that if it ever comes up.
- James Hardie cladding and exterior finish installation. Our installation of siding, trim, and cladding is backed by our workmanship guarantee. If it wasn’t installed to spec, we’ll know and so will you.
- Site work, foundation, and utility tie-ins we performed. A detached ADU is only as good as the ground it sits on. Our concrete, grading, electrical, plumbing, and drainage work is covered for a full year.
- Cleanup and site protection during the build. We keep your Long Beach property clean while we work and leave it clean when we finish. If we damage something on your property during construction, we fix or replace it. That’s covered too.
- Written line-item pricing before work starts. You’ll never get a verbal estimate that shifts on you later. The written price is the price. If a change is needed, it’s agreed to in writing before the work happens, not billed as a surprise after the fact.
- On-time arrival and crew identity. Our technicians show up when we say they will and they’re background-checked and in uniform. You always know exactly who is walking onto your property.
Our Satisfaction Promise
Sometimes “done right” isn’t just about a straight wall or a level floor. Sometimes it’s about how a space feels when you walk into it for the first time. If something about the finished work isn’t sitting right with you, you call us. That’s step one. We don’t make you file a claim online or wait on hold through a phone tree. A live person answers, every day of the year, around the clock. You tell us what’s wrong, and we schedule a visit to look at it. Troy Eastman reviews the issue personally.
If it’s something we did wrong, we fix it. That’s covered under the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s a gap between what you imagined and what we built, we sit down and walk through the plans, the scope, and the written agreement. We’ll show you exactly what was in the contract and what wasn’t. If we can make an adjustment that brings the space closer to what you wanted without compromising the structure or the permit, we’ll have an honest conversation about what that takes and what it costs. No pressure, no deflection, no disappearing. We’ve been doing this since 2006, and the only way a business like ours survives in a city like Long Beach is by answering the phone when a past client calls. We built your space. We stand behind it. That sentence is the entire satisfaction promise.
And if a covered repair fails after we fix it the first time? We come back again. Free. That’s the second-visit guarantee, written into every project contract.
Licensed & Insured Backing

A written guarantee is only as good as the person standing behind it. The strongest protection a Long Beach homeowner has on any construction project is the contractor’s license and insurance. A state-licensed contractor has passed trade exams, carries a bond, and answers to the licensing board if work goes badly wrong. Insurance covers your property if something gets damaged and covers workers if someone gets hurt on your job site. Unlicensed work often voids homeowner’s insurance claims. Licensed work doesn’t. Benson ADU Long Beach is licensed and insured, and we’re proud to show our credentials before you sign anything. Ask to see them. A real contractor will never hesitate.
Beyond the paperwork, Benson ADU Long Beach is part of the Relay Home Co. family, founded in 2006. The Relay Visibility Guarantee governs every project: a written price before work starts, the 365-Day Done Right Promise, a written guarantee on every project, and a free second visit if any covered repair fails. That’s the backing behind our name. It’s not a marketing slogan. It’s operational.
